My Pastor once asked, “have you ever thought about the questions Jesus asked?” I had to stop and think... no, I have never given it much thought. 

 

But it did make me think if Jesus asked a question, it must have been an important one, and we might ought to find the answers to those questions. In fact, depending on our response, they could be life-changing questions. 

 

I realize that in the culture which Jesus lived, asking questions was a method of learning, but Jesus always knew the answers. He didn’t need to ask them. He IS the answer. What does He need to know? His questions were to cause His listeners to think. And, they do.

 

Maybe the plan was not having all the right answers, but to develop the curiosity to ask the right questions. 

 

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I encourage readers to read the suggested verses from the KJV Bible. Some of the verses listed in this Bible Study are paraphrased by me in today’s use of the English language for clearer understanding

QUESTIONS JESUS ASKED BIBLE STUDY      Read John 2:1-11   Woman, what have I to do with thee?    JESUS’ FIRST MIRACLE - WATER INTO WINE Reference: John 2:1-11   Jesus, His disciples, and His mother was called to a marriage in Cana of Galilee. It is not stated whose wedding they were attending, but Mary, Jesus’ mother seems to have been involved in helping to care for the many guest. It is stated that when the guest wanted more wine, the mother of Jesus came to him and said, “They have no wine.” Jesus said unto her,  “Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not come yet.”  In effect Mary is suggesting that Jesus do something about the lack of wine. She then turns to the servants and says, “Do whatever He tells you.”   No one except Jesus’ mother, the disciples, and the servants who filled the pots with water knew the origin of the wine. QUESTIONS JESUS ASKED BIBLE STUDY   Read Luke 2:40-52 KJV:    How is it that ye sought me? Did you not know that I must be about my Father’s business?  (Luke 2:49)   ABOUT MY FATHER’S BUSINESS Reference: Luke 2:40-52   “Son why have you done this to us?
